Our EM‑BARK programs are designed to support your puppy’s crucial early learning, helping them grow into the well‑rounded companion you’ve always imagined.

Most behavior challenges we see in adult dogs could have been prevented with thoughtful socialization, exposure, and training during puppyhood. Our mission is to guide both puppies and their people, helping you understand your dog as an individual, appreciate their unique strengths, and nurture their potential from the very beginning.
Obedience isn’t just about teaching cues — it’s about building a relationship where your puppy wants to listen, understands what’s expected, and feels supported in new situations. We focus on positive reinforcement, clear communication, and helping your puppy enjoy working with you in any environment.
Management is the other half of the equation. It’s all about setting your puppy up for success before mischief strikes (#savemysocks). With gates, pens, leashes, and simple routines, we prevent unwanted behaviors before they start. It keeps your puppy safe, reduces frustration, and makes training smoother, faster, and far more enjoyable for everyone.
Two of the most valuable skills a puppy can learn!
These early lessons help your dog take treats gently, greet politely, and stay calm when exciting things (like other dogs walking by) appear.
Building patience now pays off in adolescence and adulthood.
We’ll guide you through teaching sit, wait, stay, down, settle, come, and the beginnings of loose‑leash walking.
These are the skills you’ll use every day at home on walks, at cafés, and anywhere life takes you together. Starting early helps your puppy build resilience, clarity, and great habits from the very beginning.

What Puppies Learn in EM‑BARK
Our curriculum builds self‑control, patience, manners, and real‑world readiness. Puppies also learn body awareness, social skills, handling comfort, and how to explore new environments with confidence. It’s the groundwork for a future canine good citizen.
Our Em‑Bark Puppy Classes follow an open enrollment format,
so you can begin right after attending a free People‑Only Orientation.
Orientation sets you up for success with the tools, tips, and confidence to support your puppy’s learning from day one.
With orientations offered every two weeks, you’ll be ready to jump
into class right away!
Each weekly theme stands alone, so missing a class won’t cause you & your pup to fall behind, simply continue with the next session.
Class Details
Duration: 50 minutes
Age Range: 9 weeks to 4 months (16 weeks)
(If your pup is older than 16 weeks and missed early socialization, check out Charm School.)
Requirements
Current age‑appropriate vaccination (at least one DHPP)
Negative fecal test
First vaccine received at least 7 days before class
Home for at least 7 days before starting
Rabies not required under 5 months

Congratulations on your new puppy! Get ready for equal parts soft & snuggly and sock theft, it’s an exciting (and busy!) time.
Puppies are a blast, but they’re also tiny chaos machines who need constant supervision to stay out of mischief. Just like infants, they require patience and guidance, and it can be tough to adjust your daily routine to meet their needs. Housebreaking, socialization, and manners are critical to raising a well‑adjusted, happy dog and a good K9 citizen.
That’s why we created Puppy Crèche, an exclusive training program for puppies 9 weeks to 6 months of age!

We believe in balancing training with play, so our pups enjoy enrichment outings and field trips to places like pet stores, the beach, and local coffee shops.

Puppy Tricks is the perfect way to have fun with your pup while teaching them some cool new moves.
In this fun and interactive class, you and your pup will learn the foundation on how to teach tricks like, Crawl, Bow, Roll Over, Jump through a hoop, Etc...
Pups Out & About
It’s a big world, is your pup ready for it?
Pups Out and About will help your pup learn to navigate through real life situations.
Help your pup develop the skills to be a good k9 citizen when out and about.
Would you like your pup to be able to hang at Brewster’s while you enjoy a pint?
Pups Out and About class is designed just for that goal!
Each session will include an outdoor adventure. Pups Out & About classes will include visits to puppy-friendly stores (banks, hardware stores, coffee shops, and more), different neighborhoods or local vet offices.
This is a topic near and dear to our heart here at Unleashed, sometimes, life happens and your puppy gets a rough start in life, missing crucial socialization opportunities, or finding themselves in tough situations where they may have learned some naughty behaviors in order to cope.
We see this all too often in our work with dogs, so we designed these one-on-one training and socialization sessions where your pup can safely learn to interact with our carefully selected and appropriate adult dogs, monitored by professional trainers.
These sessions are great whether your pup is a bruiser, a wallflower or if you missed out on our Em-Bark classes.
Our puppy-savvy adult dogs will help teach your pup manners, or they will draw your wallflower out of his shell and encourage him to play.
All the while you will be getting instruction on what is, and what is not, appropriate dog play in a controlled and friendly environment, your dog will develop important social skills to help him better communicate in the dog world, while having a great time and burning off some energy!
We will also teach you to read your dog’s body language and how to spot signs of stress which will help you avoid trouble when out & about in everyday situations.
These hour-long one-on-one sessions are for pups’ 10-weeks - 6 months of age.
